Naming and Branding for architectural services in West Midlands, UK
We were approached by a group of young architects from the West Midlands who were looking to start their own practice and do something different with it. They needed a name for their new enterprise as well as a full branding to go with it.
We researched existing names in the architectural services industry and saw that they were frankly a little boring and didn’t inspire anything from the customer’s point of view. We wanted to position something new for the industry, something fresh and approachable, like the team themselves. We created the name Archicept as a new concept in Architectural Services and this combining of Architecture and Concept was fresh and stylish but still showed the company’s roots as an architectural service provider.
We expanded on the style of the new brand by crafting a tagline ‘the innovative approach’ to re-enforce the freshness and the difference that the Archicept would bring to the industry.
We created a dynamic logo and icon to define the brand which would be different and further highlight the ideals of the brand as a whole. We created a new flowing shape based out the letters A and C to be a prominent sign for the brand and something that would be remembered and, again make the brand stand out against its competitors.
We then created a package of corporate stationery for the brand including business cards, brand letterheads, compliment slips, invoices and receipts to solidify the overall look of the brand. We also worked with the brand’s in-house designer for the website and created all of the content for the website and we continue to work with the company to produce other brand aesthetics when needed.
